With all of the changes that have happened during the past year, I have to admit that I’m a little suprised at how well the game seems to be surviving despite many unhappy players.
We have seen some things go back to the way they were, for example twenty member famalies. On the other hand, we continue to see more changes with regards to prize amounts and the whole credits vs turns thing which has only helped to increase the hostility amongst players holding large accounts.
One thing that I thought was a good idea initally, was to double the turn packages for supporters… but I thought that only because I figured Omar would raise the jackpot and perhaps entice more players to buy turns. Instead, if players are buying alot of turns, its certainly not being reflected in the jackpot and its given the few that do, an even bigger advantage than they had before. An advantage that many free players would argue is unfair, an argument that I can’t argue against.
What I think we see taking place right now is that people who are holding large accounts are being more active in order to not have them expire and we see people building earlier and earlier in rounds. What we don’t see taking place is a huge competition for top supporter which I think was Omars hope and reasoning behind doubling the turn packages.
If Omar wants to entice more people to buy turns, for gods sake bring back the subs. I haven’t spoken to a single player yet that thought was a bad idea, however if you think thats a bad idea, I would be eager to here your reasoning.
As you may have noticed, I don’t have much time these days to write articles on a consistent basis anymore and I’m rarely on at the end of rounds due to my class schedule so it makes it difficult to make a good recap. I’m busy enough as it is just doing my moderator job when I do find the time to log in. I will do my best to make a better effort and I encourage anybody that wants too to please write a recap or interview and submit it to me in game and I would be happy to publish it on here. Your name will only be included in the post if you ask me too.

Here is an idea. Get rid of the News staff and get a new news staff that will actually post stories, and not use the news as there platform to attempt to bring change to the game.

If you feel you can do a better job, please by all means start writing articles. I don’t operate the news site, I just have access to publish articles because somebody has too. It was given to me so that I could have my recaps published sooner instead of having to wait for Slayer, who was very busy to do it. It’s not an actuall news reporter position like it is on other games. I don’t get paid a single turn for the news site admin posistion. I just write articles when I can bc it’s something I enjoy….and one other thing bc I can see the comments coming in already… Omar doesn’t read the news site and never has. My articles are not meant to get an agenda across nor get changes made. I’ve told Omar face to face on MSN many many times what I think of his changes. It’s almost costed me my staff job numerous times.
Instead I’m simply offering up my opinion. Take the article for whats it worth. Hopefully this will be the last article for awhile that is not a recap.

Game is running better when we now have 1 (big balls) buying turns and taking almost every single pot? You may be right, but how big of an improvement is that?

Why u guys busting his balls? He is the only person to write an article since JULY…..4 months!!! If you dont like his articles then dont read them, its a whole seperate page anyway. I find them interesting, some more than others but its something..
