The New Mobster - Looking Forward by JimmyC
Well its been a very long time since anybody has posted anything up on this news site but its mostly due to the fact that the people that write the articles either left the game or more or less stopped playing. Their is no doubt that this post will probably go unread for sometime since their would be no reason to check out the news site but eventually it will strike someones curiosity to check and then people will start coming to check more frequently.
It would appear that the game has somewhat stabalized from the nearly constant changes that had been taking place more or less over the past six months. All in all alot of the changes have been reversed. I know most people, myself included are happy that the family sizes are back to 20. Their have been some changes to the staff as well with some long time helpers becoming mods and some mods either leaving the game or resigning their positions. We have a new helper in Chongo as well.
All in all the dust has settled and were left with a new mobster. One that lacks most of the fun and excitment of the glory days and one that usually includes a un-contested jackpot.
So here we are, June 2009, will their be a mobster in June 2010? time will tell. I’m interested to here your comments on here about the changes that have taken place and your opinions about the future of the site.
Hopefully this will spark a desire for people to start writting more articles.

changes were made but one thing is still here … low turn prizes … that just sucks for free players …
I hope there will be a mobster in one year … it`s a great way to spend time even if it`s only for a couple of hours/day

omar can still save this game by raising the jp, doing some good deals of turns for supporters and raise the lower rank prizes for both free and supporters, maybe even give 30k-40k for lvl 1 gold

well this is just imo but there’s a saying that “Nothing kills a game faster than flooding it with turns” which Omar did and now he’s trying to reverse that. So I don’t think that we’ll be seeing an increase in winning turns anytime soon. Doubtful he’ll raise the j/p also since it seems the days of people dropping 5k per round are long gone.
I’m sure there’s more changes in store for TM and I’m sure it will still be here June 2010

yeah the minis were a big mistake, or at least the turn prizes in them, but the same ppl won every round so not many ppl have account turns to drop, there’s a need to make it easier for noobs to win turns, give turns for time and skill not for free like they were given at the minis, u raise the jp and there will be more ppl going for it

Nah, raising turn prizes will only kill the game faster ESP if you are talking about free player prizes. Most supporters dont support because they know that what they buy is worthless, free players have tons of credits. When you buy credits, you should have the advantage over everyone who has bought less than you… it is not the case in this game. a person that spends 100$ is still 100x below half of the game… and wont even get a medal with those credits.
and we have seen… raising the JP hasnt done anything thus far =/. a few people win it every round uncontested whether its 500$ or 1k+. thats why omar had to lower it, he was losing money off the rounds.
as of right now.. its super easy to get turns and medals… noobs can get them (and they have). anyway, we wouldnt be giving noobs more turns by raising prizes lol, if you want to give noobs turns youd make more ranks… or extend them top 20 lol which is just ridiculous.
if you want the game to restart strong… you will need the free players who dont spend a dime on the game to war with other free players. thus the supporter can take dominance again…
this game has gone into the mindset of saving turns, making fun of those who blow and waste turns… if you make fun of people who do that and they leave … you have a game of free players who are able to spend large amounts of time here … but no game that can thrive.
