Alright this is my first time writing an article for The Mobster. It’s
been slow lately so I’m going to try and get the ball rolling again on
the news site. Let’s start off with all of the buzz that’s flying
around The Mobster.

Most of the talk lately has been about all the changes taking place
around here. Most of you noticed while trying to get into round 188
that there was approximately an hours delay due to Omar changing some
things around. I was told by a few mobsters that they found themselves
clicking on their names over and over again before they finally
realized what was going on. That just goes to show how persistent some
mobsters are to get the round started. So as you noticed the game has
gone from starting out with anywhere’s between a total of 20k-25k
turns down to a low and painful 5k active and 5k reserves. On top of
that, the family’s no longer rank by their networth, they now rank by
the family average provided by each individual player. In the Mini
Rounds you will also notice that there is no networth ranking anymore,
or even family rankings. We don’t know how long this will last but for
now mobsters, cope with it. It also looks like things are starting to
resemble the early rounds of this game again because it went back to
top 10 for everything besides the killer ranks. We will get to that
joke later. Also a few rounds ago the new AK-47 count was
implemented. Each mobster now starts off with 30,000 Ak’s that cannot
be sold or even wiped out when you kill DU’s. Most veteran killers are
furious because now even the noobs are protected. I just want to say 1
more thing about the changes. Sending hate mail to Omar and to our
Admin’s is not going to get you anywhere. If you have a suggestion
please send it to the moderators and admin@themobster.com so that they
can relay it to the appropriate person. On that note expect to see
many more changes in the rounds to come. Unfortunately as you look
around these days you see many mobsters throwing in the towel and
calling it quits. Profiles are now shunned with sayings such as “My
last round, its not fun anymore” or “These changes are ruining
everything I loved about the game”. It seems as though with the
economic crisis in the real world that the mobster seems to be
following in its tracks.

Let’s now talk about Last rounds winners. In the level 1 networth
ransk we had ‘Pooplipspistone’ come in 3rd place finishing with a
networth of $15,756,844,962. The runner up in 2nd Place we had ’slip’
right ahead of ‘Pooplipspistone’ with a networth of $16,083,502,494
and in 1st Place we had the dominant ‘yZziBDO’ who has taken gold for
his 2nd round in a row. Great job ODB!! The Punks members are very
talented and seem to take a rank in whichever category they please.
They don’t need to buy turns just to rank which is nice. Moving on to
Level 2 we had a surprising family come back to us! Flying_Solo member
Cheat-Farm-Win took 1st Place with ‘A-11_Offense’ trailing right
behind him. The 3rd place mobster who we should pay attention to in
rounds to come is ‘Hollow_Tips’, he seems to be making a name for
himself all over the place. Great job in the level 2 ranks gents. Now
for the Level 3 players dropping some turns last round we had
‘hit_em_up’ taking 1st place with an outstanding networth of over 2
trillion he was also with Flying_Solo, and behind him was Sorry from
TCF.

The Top Family’s were #1 Flying_Solo; and the number 2 and 3 slot fams
were both The Chosen Few since we now have a max of ten players per
family. (Not sure why Omar made that change but hey its his site :/ )

In the Killer ranks it was nothing unusual we had the same mobsters
ranking again but there were a couple worth mentioning. We had Lady_M
our very own moderator taking a Gold medal in the level 3 killer
ranks. And we also had Amyyy walk away with a bronze. Ladies you did a
very good job killing!

coming down range in rounds to come. Keep up the hard work and adapt
and overcome the changes instead of complaining.
