Well here I sit as yet another exciting round of The Mobster has come and gone. Round 152 saw a jackpot for level 3 higher than I have ever seen since I’ve been playing. In fact, After quickly looking over the past round winners, it would appear you would have to go back about 50 rounds, nearly one year, to find something in the ballpark of $1800.

The round also had a period of about 7-8 hours where nobody could log in because the server was down. Nobody was compensated for the down time as Omar stated the reason as “everyone was affected equally.”

The round started off slow but I think everything got started last week when I wrote a post on the news board asking for people to come forward with any information they have regarding record holders. In the process, someone came forward and mentioned that the MDBSPCAWS4LIFE family has been around for a long time and never seems to rank. While some people joined in on the criticizm, others came to their defense. While I’m not 100% sure if these arguments led TCF to temporarily change their family name to MDBSPCAWS4LIFE or not, I’m guessing they did it to finally get that family’s name on the ranking board. I believe the name changes they used were as follows…

MDBSPCAWS4LIFE aka Volty
Sawyer aka Wolfy
Francis the Killer aka Syphon
Deegan - Jess
King of Euphoria aka Uncle Freddy

Apparantly also Volty had declared before the round that he was taking lvl 3 gold this round and I’m guessing again all in attempt to put MDBSPCAWS4LIFE ontop of the charts. Of course… I had other ideas and acted upon my threats to make a big purchase and build for gold which ended being unchallanged until the last minutes of the round. Vengeance’s profile even read, “Expect the Unexpected this round” and too tell you the truth, the unexpected did indeed happen. I really didn’t think anybody was willing to spend that many turns to get a jackpot of that size and second I thought for sure that Vengeance was going to out collect me. Perhaps without notice, as soon as I saw Vengeance build, I quickly built another 1.5 million ops and 1 million killers and collected about another 3 trillion worth of aks before I was 00′d which ended up being the difference between gold and silver.

So the supporter ranks went as followes.. (Me) Jimmy_Conway took gold with a networth of over 20 trillion. Vengeance took silver adding to his growing trophy case and Smooth_Criminal took bronze, however, the differnece between second and third was more than 18 trillion, the largest gap I have ever seen in my time. Mafia Inc added to the strong display from BW with a fourth place finish. Elle took fifth more than 100 billion behind Mafia and 1337 from CS took sixth. The seventh, eigth and ninth spots were closely bunched together and went to ice_man from Dark_Riderz, 7SCOTTS from Goodfellas and MDBSPCAW54LIFE aka Volty from MDBSPCAW54LIFE aka TCF. Dessy_Doe aka JDOE finished out the supporter ranks. Thanks again to all the people that helped support the game this round and added to the jackpot.

Lvl 2 ranks were a no contest, Moridin from TCF took his first free gold, congrats to him. Machine_Head took silver with almost exactly half of Moridin’s net and my friend deegan aka Jess also from TCF took bronze. Che, another friend of mine took fourth place, and fellow BW member 8sec took fifth. Saloon took sixth, Incentive seventh, Tupac eight, LaTe ninth and tripleOG finished off the level 2 ranks.

Lvl 1 was a little weak this round also but Gamble from CS took gold and Doggy_Dog_World from TCF took his sixth free silver. Dark_Don took bronze, and Razz took fourth. Zerox took fifth just an inch in front of Smasher, Tri-Dude, ThaKing, The_Legendar_DK and Dos_Santos who all finished less than a billion behind.

Family ranks were a little more impressive as Jimmy_Conway’s and Vengeance’s nets really inflated everything and compromised much of their respective family’s total net. Bellas_World took first place with Scream recieving his first GF award. MDBSPCAWS4LIFE (TCF) will forever be seen in the ranks now after finishing second. CS who actually had to use the abreviation CS because two guys, one of which was named Tropic_Thunder and the other one who’s name I’ve forgoten called themselfs Coffee_Shop and even went as far as using the CS icon. Punks made a return to the ranks with fourth place. Power which I believe is related to Dark took fifth. Empire also made a return after an extended abscence from the ranks with sixth. Goodfellas, who has kind of taken over what Cuseballers used to do managed to rank yet again in seventh despite a lack of big supporters and experience. Demarco_Vertigo took eigth place, Dominion ninth and Dark Riderz finished off the family ranks.

Killer ranks were mostly dominated by CS excpet for a few spots. Chris Hansen, Smooth Criminal and Waldo Marlone took gold, silver and bronze respectully. Lord Kris took fourth. Vengeance took fifth place mostly due to 00′in my 4 million dus at the end of the round. Sixthe place went to Machine head aka Police also from CS. The Slayer took seventh, Elle took eigth, I took ninth due to the kills I got from being attacked and JTD took tenth.

Congrats to all the winners! So.. should we expect the unexpected this round? I’m hearing more and more rumors by the minute.
